Jason Demeter, CIH, CSP
VP of Safety Services
Jason Demeter is an environmental, health, and safety professional with over 20 years of experience working in the field. Jason is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and he has a master’s degree in Safety Management from Indiana State University. His career has been working with major manufacturing companies in South Bend, Elkhart, Indiana, and other companies throughout the U.S. Jason has successfully implemented EHS management systems, compliance programs, employee engagement activities and has led cultural changes in facilities to improve EHS performance.
Justin Finger, PG
VP of Environmental Services
Justin Finger has over 17 years of environmental project experience. Justin is a Licensed Professional Geologist (PG) and has worked in the consulting and industrial sectors. Justin is experienced in environmental compliance and reporting, environmental investigations, environmental remediation, and industrial decommissioning. Justin has partnered with numerous clients to implement sustainable environmental programs and achieve environmental compliance. He has extensive knowledge of working with regulatory agencies on various environmental matters and has participated in and led several environmental audits and inspections.
Kathy Thomas
Senior Industrial Hygienist
Kathy Thomas has over 35 years of environmental, health, and safety consulting experience and is also a Licensed Asbestos Building Inspector. Kathy is experienced in air permitting, industrial hygiene monitoring, and environmental compliance and reporting. Kathy has dedicated her consulting career to helping companies obtain and maintain compliance with OSHA and Environmental regulatory requirements.
Michelle Thomas Richardson
Administrative Director
Michelle Richardson Thomas has over 40 years of experience in business, including finance and retail. She joined the Industrial Safety & Environmental Services team in 2013 as an Assistant to the Office Manager and is now the Administrative Director. Her responsibilities include assisting Senior ISES staff, submitting client documents to regulatory agencies, coordinating and scheduling training/events, and managing accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and HR.
Tris Gour
Principal Senior Scientist
Tris Gour has over 30 years of project management and direct experience defining, evaluating, and solving occupational safety and health and environmentally related testing, process control, and management problems. He has broad experience in industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, occupational safety, air emissions permitting, hazardous waste management, and employee training program development. In 1986, Tris founded Industrial Safety and Environmental Services, a multi-disciplined environmental and occupational safety and health consulting group.
Shannon Nalepinski
Health and Safety Consultant
Shannon Nalepinski is a health and safety professional with 17 years of consulting experience. Shannon has experience in industrial hygiene, safety program development, and assistance in implementation. Shannon is also a knowledgeable trainer in various safety topics, including powered industrial truck and hazard communication.
Edward Ahlersmeyer, CSP
Senior EHS Advisor
Ed Ahlersmeyer is an Environmental, Health, and Safety professional with seven years of experience in Industrial Safety & Systems management. Ed has experience in manufacturing sales and inventory management that precluded his transition to the safety profession in 2017. His professional certifications include the National Safety Council: Advanced Safety Certificate, member of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (CSP), and a Certified American Heart Association Heartsaver Instructor. Ed has also spent time as a Special Government Employee for the OSHA VPP program in the state of Indiana.
James Carr, MS, CSP, FMA
Senior Safety Manager
Jim Carr is a Certified Safety Professional with 25 years of experience in safety management systems management, preceded by 18 years of leadership in maintenance management. Jim has an extensive background working in manufacturing and consulting in the maintenance, health, safety, and environmental fields. His professional certifications include recognition as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, and an Authorized General Industry Outreach Trainer by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Jim also earned a certification as a Facilities Management Administrator from the Building and Owner’s Institute.
